Abstract:

A reverse phase high perfomance liquid chromatographic method was deveoloped for simultaneous determination of lornoxicam in pharmacertucal dosage forms. The separation was effected on a Luna C18 column (250 nmx4.6 nm; 5u)using a mobile phase mixture of potassium dihydrogen phosphate buffer (pH 4.5)and acetonitrile in a ration of 50:50v/v at a flow rate of 1,l/min. The detection was made at 295 lornoxicam. The proposed method was validated as per the ICH guidliness. The method was accurate and precise and found to be suitable for the quantitative analysis of the drug in thablets and injection dosage forms.
